The symptoms of back pain affects the lower back. This pain can travel to the ribs or even the upper part of the legs. A strain or an injury is usually the cause of back pain. When the back hurts, even sneezing or coughing can be painful. Sitting up, turning over, bending or sitting also can be quite painful when the back hurts.
For individuals younger than age 60, back pain usually will be felt in the legs. There may be numbness or pain during movement and sitting. After finding out what the cause or causes of back pain symptoms are, than appropriate treatment can be started. Regular exercise will help in strengthening back muscles, thereby reducing the chances of the painful symptoms of back pain.
